Real Estate in Mackenzie Heights

Because of its location, the homes in MacKenzie Heights offer residents beautiful views of the mountains on the North Shore and downtown Vancouver and English Bay. There is an excellent mix of old and new housing, many of which have been built specifically to enjoy the unmatched mountain views. The area mainly holds single-family homes on well-sized lots. Many houses in the neighbourhood were built in the early 1900s, leaving the homes still standing in beautiful, rich character.

MacKenzie Heights is a pot of gold for investors because it offers a quiet neighbourhood and convenient amenities from the West End nearby. Much of the new development in the area has adopted the characteristics of the old heritage homes, keeping the timelessness of the area alive. The latest developments consist of townhouses and condominiums, allowing more people to enjoy this beautiful area of Vancouver.

About MacKenzie Heights

One of the reasons behind the given nickname, “hidden gem,” is that MacKenzie Heights is sitting in its natural state. The area used to be labelled as Arbutus Ridge but later became MacKenzie Heights.

West 37th Avenue borders MacKenzie Heights on the South, Blenheim on the West, King Edward Avenue on the North, and Larch to the east. Because the neighbourhood is so close to the downtown core, transportation in the area is easy to access. The driving distance to downtown is short and sweet, and it is close to SkyTrain stations that can connect you all over the surrounding region.

The area itself does not possess any schools, but many near it offer your children a high-quality education. Trafalgar and Carnarvon are elementary schools for the children, and Prince Wales, Point Grey, and Magee Secondary schools are options for the teens. There are also nearby private schools – some of the most high-status schools in the Greater Vancouver Area. Within 10 minutes from MacKenzie Heights, you will find Immaculate Conception, St. Georges, York House, Crofton House, Vancouver College, and Little Flower Academy. MacKenzie Heights serves as a beautiful place to raise a family and build a life.
