Most of Glenwood's property types are single-family detached homes, with some condo units closer to the Lougheed Highway. Homes here are often built in the 1970s and have remodelled interiors. Glenwood is in Port Coquitlam North (meaning north of Lougheed Highway) and is located in the middle of Port Coquitlam for easy access. It is a residential neighbourhood full of single-family detached homes and some condo buildings. There are several schools and parks in the Glenwood neighbourhood, and it has easy access to Lougheed Highway yet maintains a quiet neighbourhood feel.

The border of this neighbourhood ends down coast meridian, which hosts several commercials, retail and service options, including a local pub, gas station and pharmacy. Several food options are found in Glenwood, like the highly-rated Kisso Sushi, touted for affordable and delicious sushi. 

There are also several medical centers and dental offices on the neighbourhood border and even an animal hospital! These amenities are within walking distance of Glenwood and have parking options so you can walk or drive. Glenwood is home to many parks, like Aggie, McLean, and Wellington Park! Wellington Park is the biggest park, and it is a densely packed old forest with a playground nestled among the trees.

Glenwood is serviced by Translink and is well connected to the transport network. Nearby transportation includes the West Coast Express, the R3 rapid bus and the Evergreen SkyTrain, making this a great neighbourhood for commuters. There are three K-5 schools, one middle school and one secondary school. A few private schools are also located in the area. Things to do in Glenwood

Centennial Outdoor Pool

This pool opens from late June to the end of September and is a 25 metre 6 lane pool featuring a diving board and facilities that are wheelchair accessible. It has been recently renovated and has warm showers and separate changing rooms. There are a whole host of aquatic and fitness programs hosted at this park. 

Coquitlam River

The Coquitlam River runs the border of Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam and is the Glenwood neighbourhood's western edge. Coquitlam River is a staple for locals in the summer, providing lovely walking trails and shade. When the heat of summer is too hot to handle, inner tubes can be seen floating down the river! There are some parking lots in spots along the river, but it would be far easier to walk, and dogs are welcome here and off-leash.

Poco Heritage Museum and Archives

This Museum is located next to City Hall and is operated by Port Coquitlam Heritage and Cultural Society (PoCo Heritage). The society was founded in 1988, but it wasn't until 1997 that the first space was open for display. This location opened in 2013 and is an "important pillar" of the Port Coquitlam community. In 2021 there were two main exhibits, "Photography Restoration" and "Pride in Poco." There are also online exhibit options, like "How Heritage Happens."
