Named after Thomas Harris, Victoria, BC’s first mayor, Harris Green is a small, centrally located in Victoria, adjacent to the downtown area. The area’s only local grocery store, the Market on Yates, features your standard grocery store fare and rare exotic meats, including alligator and kangaroo, an extensive vegetarian and vegan section, and a wide variety of food and kitchenware made locally on and around Vancouver Island. It is less a shopping trip and more an immersive cultural experience in this eclectic store.
Play at Central Park
Located at 2275 Quadra Street, just behind the Crystal Pool building, this six-hectare park has picnic tables, benches, and public washrooms, along with a playground for younger children.
