Things to Do in Songhees

Walk Along the Songhees Walkway

The Songhees Walkway (known as the West Bay Walkway) is a popular area for people to jog, take a walk or admire the views of the Olympic Mountains and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. People take two main loops: a shorter 6 km route or the longer 9 km loop that meets up with the Galloping Goose Trail. Bikes are not allowed on this flat, paved, and well-lit path, making it a safer place to walk with young children and for older adults to take a stroll, with benches available for resting.

Watch the Boats at the Super Yacht Marina

The Victoria International Marina is home to super yachts year-round, offering moorage to luxury yachts measuring 65 feet long to 175 feet long. Although you cannot board these vessels (unless you own one), you can walk along the waterfront and take in the fantastic view by the sea.

Have Dinner, Coffee or a Drink on the Water

The Boom + Batten Restaurant is a popular waterfront spot for residents and visitors alike, with views of the gorgeous yachts docked in the Victoria International Marina. The restaurant offers a formal dining experience, with a menu inspired by the Pacific Northwest surroundings.
