Willows Elementary French Immersion school can be found next to Estevan Village, a small block of shops that has something for everybody. There is plenty of public art in the village, with an ever-changing sculpture program featuring national artists who have provided their art to the neighbourhood to display for approximately one year. Sculptures featured in this program may win a “people’s choice” award and be up for consideration for purchase from the ArtsAlive program.

The district of Oak Bay has a police and fire department, and there is excellent bus service, with Route 2 through James Bay and Route 8 to Interurban/Tillicum Centre stopping at multiple points along Oak Bay Avenue. Estevan is chock full of lovely parks, beaches, and other outdoor spaces your family can enjoy. At Willow’s Beach, you can play in the sand and enjoy the sunshine during the summer or bring the dogs for a walk in the winter. A shallow, protected piece of the Pacific coastline, Willow’s Beach is excellent for families, with a shady park, outdoor washrooms, and a concession that sells everything from ice cream to hot tea. 

At Willow’s Park, there is a large, grassy area, picnic tables, benches, beach access, and beautiful waterfront views. You can walk the dog, go for a jog or sit and enjoy the views, and you can even obtain permission from the city to host small social functions here. 

Firefighter’s Park is an active sports park with soccer fields, baseball diamonds, a Scout Hall, and a Girl Guide Hall and is used for organized and non-organized activities year-round. 

Cattle Point is part of Uplands Park, bordering Estevan, and is the best spot in Victoria to see the stars at night, away from light pollution. 

Nottingham Park is a .38 hectare children’s Park with a fully developed playground area, grassy areas, and benches, perfect for families with young children to come for unstructured playtime.
