Based on the statistics provided by the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board (VIREB), the average list price for these homes was $812,100, while the average sale price amounted to $821,400. On average, single-family homes in this neighbourhood sold at 101% of their listed price. The average days on the market for homes in Diver Lake was 25 days.

The Diver Lake area has historical ties to Nanaimo’s coal mining history, and mining activity was present in the area until the 1930s. The area was largely rural in the following decades, but developments began to emerge in the 1960s. Diver Lake was primarily established in the 1970s, and many of the available real estate options you’ll find were built during that decade. Go For a Swim at Long Lake

And Diver Lake isn’t the only appealing lake in the area either. Nearby Long Lake, located slightly to the north, is a good-sized lake located centrally in north Nanaimo popular with swimmers and those who enjoy paddling small boats around.
