An excellent spot for outdoor adventures in Courtenay East is the Seal Bay Nature Park, which offers secluded hiking trails that wind through the serene forest down to a beautiful beach. The courses are well-maintained and varied, meaning you can essentially hike for as long as your stamina and interest last. Signage on the trails is straightforward, and once you arrive at the beach, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to spot marine life. The proximity of this tranquil park right on the ocean is a significant draw of living in Courtenay East. 

A popular pastime for young people in the Comox Valley is heading to the Puntledge River, which offers plenty of areas optimal for hiking, swimming, and relaxing during the warmer months. There are plenty of swimming holes along the Puntledge River as it winds through the Comox Valley.
