About Commonage, Vernon, BC
The Commonage received its name from the common grazing lands of the 1800s. It is located between Okanagan Lake and Kal Lake, and most are appealed by its wide-open spaces and amazing Okanagan views. The Commonage Reserve was established in 1876. The Commonage was the 24,000 acres of land now known as Predator Ridge, located on the rolling hills directly across the main road leading into Predator Ridge.
Commonage features densely forested areas, gleaming lake views, and charming panoramic hilltops. There has always been a focus on preservation in the Commonage. The community is quiet and peaceful, and the concept of sharing is a strong historical factor. It has been shared between First Nations and ranchers as a winter grazing area for cattle since the 1800s.
Schools located in this community are Mission Hill Elementary School, Clarence Fulton Secondary, École Beairsto Elementary. It features a newly paved road from Vernon to Commonage and is only 25 minutes to Kelowna airport. It gives you that small-town feel but is still close to the important amenities.

The Ridge Course opened later in 2010 and was designed by renowned course architect Doug Carrick. The Ridge Course offers more of a challenge for advanced players. The views are scenic and breathtaking; one of Canada's best golf courses you have to visit. Lessons and season-long player development programs are available.
Allan Brooks Nature Centre
Since 1996, Allan Brooks Nature Centre has grown from a discontinued weather station into an interactive activity centre with indoor and outdoor classrooms and sit-down areas to picnic and play. Kekuli Bay Provincial Park
