There are many outdoor opportunities in the Uplands and Redlands, including hiking trails and quiet walking paths. Upper Bench Estate Winery   

Many wineries surround Uplands/Redlands, and one not to miss is Upper Bench Estate Winery. Located on Upper Bench Road South, pull up a chair and enjoy their tasting room with portfolio tastings of their quality wines paired with handcrafted cheeses. Owned by two Okanagan locals, co-owner Gavin Miller is praised for making award-winning wines for Poplar Grove and Painted Rock. With dozens of wines and cheese, grab a group of friends for a night out on their exclusive patio. 

Coyote Cruise Float 

Coyote Cruise Float is a seven-kilometre channel filled with fun and relaxation. The full trip takes about three hours, starting on Riverside Drive, so make it a day out with friends and pack plenty of sunscreen and drinks. They even offer shuttle and tube rental packages for up to 12 passengers. 

South Okanagan Events Centre   

The South Okanagan Events Centre is the entertainment hub of Penticton, which seats 5,000. The arena opened to the public in September 2008, housing live entertainment events and has a training centre and memorial arena. The ice hockey team Penticton Vees call this event centre home.

Munson Mountain      

Just off Middle Bench Road North, Munson Mountain is a sight to see in Penticton. Known for its iconic sign, which is compared to the Hollywood sign, the view is one of a kind. In 2016 Munson Mountain officially became known as one of Canada's Historic Places. There are so many photo opportunities, including the Sunset Markers, "Pen-Henge," which are tiny stones that, when aligned, mark the position of the sun setting over the western horizon at the Solstice and Equinox.
