Real Estate in Dallas

In Kamloops, on the south side of the Thomspon River, east of Campbell Creek and west of Valleyview, Dallas offers a range of real estate options. Dallas is considered one of the more affordable areas of Kamloops for families just starting or first-time home buyers. The majority of the real estate includes mature single-family homes on large-sized lots.

Several gorgeous waterfront properties sometimes hit the real estate market. The streets are quiet and family-friendly, and residents enjoy their outdoor pools, big backyards, and mature fruit trees.

Newer-developed townhomes are also available in Dallas, with private and spacious units on Dallas Drive. Dallas Town Centre is an exciting new development of condominium units with 112 attractively designed spacious condo units. Gateway Estates and Kokanee Court are mobile home parks where residents own their land. The Kokanee Court is still under construction, and Gateway Estates has most of its units updated and in newer condition.

About Dallas

Dallas is near Brocklehurst, being the gateway to the neighbouring community. The neighbourhood received its name from Alexander Grant Dallas. Alexander was a Hudson’s Bay Company agent, and he also served as Chief Factor of Fort Garry from 1862 to 1864.

Only ten to fifteen minutes to downtown Kamloops and only thirty minutes to the Shuswap Lake, you won’t run out of activities for you and the family. If you don’t want to travel to Kamloops, plenty of amenities are nearby. Dallas Town Centre conveniently has a gas station, fast food restaurants, and a grocery store. There are a few bus lines in Dallas, but they are not the most convenient way to travel in the community, and there is not much nearby in the form of travelling by foot.

Besides some schools, there are not many amenities close enough for walking distance, making the streets quiet without many pedestrians. Travel by car is simple, especially with access to Highway #1 and the number of park spaces nearby. Kamloops Airport is less than thirty minutes drive.

Schools in the community of Dallas include Dallas Elementary School, located along Harper Road. Secondary students attend Valleyview Secondary in the nearby neighbourhood of Valleyview. There are no high schools situated directly in Dallas.
